We Don’t Drink From Hotel Coffee Pots

it’s true. i used to, but i try not to anymore.

of course there’s a story. three years ago i was at a youth retreat with some other ministry friends and a few of us were sharing a hotel room. up to that weekend i’d always used the hotel room coffee pots. that was until i met chuck’s kids. they had a pizza party in our room that night, which was cool because I got to meet some new people, but they started talking while they were there. things they liked about the weekend, things they didn’t. fun stuff they were doing…

and the conversation turned to the coffee pot in their room. “we don’t drink coffee” they said, and with increasing enthusiasm, “so we decided to have a contest with it. we’re gonna see if we can fill up in one day by peeing in it!”

have you ever noticed how the folks cleaning rooms in hotels don’t have dish soap and the coffee pot never leaves the room? kinda gross once you think about it.

so, using the new cool “pin drop” feature on my iphone i was able to locate two starbucks within 3 blocks of our hotel…so that’s where i’m headed now…no drinking from hotel room coffee pots.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I had totally forgotten about that incident. That was disgusting and wrong on so many levels…and even more funny.

Ah, but sadly those are Randy’s kids now …I hope they’ve been as creative with him as they were with me!:)

Our kids did that?? Really?? OUR kids?? I can’t imagine….what Chuck may not realize is that while those are now Randy’s kids…he’s got a whole new set of kids to do fun things like pee in coffee pots :)
