i haven’t written anything here for over a week..no excuses. just didn’t get it done. i tuned into my netnewswire and found this entry about my nephew, written by my sister-in-law. pretty neat.

Why Timothy Is The Coolest Kid I Know, an essay by Bethany: “Timothy is just the coolest kid. He’s SO COOL.

We were doing Valentine’s cards for his classmates, and he assigned the best, most awesome card to the new kid, who just started school that very day. I asked if he’d played with him at recess yet, and he replied ‘no, but he’s new and I want him to be happy in our class, so he can have the best Transformer which is Optimus Prime, b/c he’s the new kid’.

While discussing our upcoming birthday dinner and cake preparations, he asked if we can have nachos for dinner, and not have to eat any vegetables for that whole day, but Mummy YOU can eat vegetables, because you like them. Sure, sure I said. But is nachos ok for YOU, Mummy? Do YOU want to each nachos for our birthday dinner? And Mummy, you should pick out the cake. Yes, Timothy, we’ll do it together, it’s your birthday too. No, but I get to pick it every year and you don’t get a cake for yourself. So this year you can pick the cake. Just make sure it’s chocolate. Well, of course.

I asked him what he did in school last Friday. He says the new kid threw up in class, and had to go home. I think, poor teacher having to clean up a sick kid! Timothy says - he was embarrased, it made me sad. He had to go home, and he was crying. He was embarrased, I think.

See? He’s just so cool.”
